Fraud and Unfair & Deceptive Trade Practices

Fraud can involve the intentional deception to secure unfair or unlawful gain, or to deprive someone else of a legal right. Victims may sue to recover monetary damages. Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practice claims involve unfair methods of competition and practices involving all business activities. Our attorneys have litigated cases involving these claims in order to protect the rights of our clients.

Breach of Contract

These claims occur when a party either refuses to follow through with a written agreement, or the agreement reached has become unconscionable or impossible to perform. Soni Brendle’s attorneys have litigated numerous contract cases to award a Specific Performance of the contract, or sometimes to void a contract improperly obtained.

Shareholder Disputes

Disputes between co-owners of a business can go to court when a solution is not agreed upon by the owners. These disputes may include who owns the business and with what percentage, improper transfers of business interests, the value of a business in order for one partner to be bought out, fiduciary actions brought on behalf of shareholders, and violations of the business By-Laws or Operating Agreements. Our lawyers have experience navigating the prosecution and resolution of these issues with and without the court’s assistance.’

Civil Conspiracy

Whenever two parties act together to commit a wrong upon another party in a business setting, this can be the subject of a Conspiracy action that involves special issues in the court system. These conspiracy actions undertaken may involve improperly removing someone from employment, causing economic gain to the detriment of a client, or defrauding and interfering with contractual obligations. Soni Brendle has attorneys skilled in pursuing and defending against legal conspiracy claims when the facts demonstrate this cause of action.
